Shipping & Returns - How COVID-19 is affecting our business

HOW COVID-19 IS AFFECTING OUR BUSINESS - PLEASE READ

By now, we have all heard about the mandates to stay home. Of Earth & Salt is located in Northern California. On March 19, 2020, our governor issued a statewide mandate to "shelter in place". Due to the safety of our staff and our customers, our warehouse is now partly closed. We are temporarily working to fill orders with just one individual, following all CDC guidelines for protecting you and our staff. Please be prepared for shipping delays until the mandate ends. We are accepting returns at this time, but will quarantine all returns for a minimum of 14 days before opening the packages and restocking to ensure the safety of our team and our customers. We promise to go back to honoring our regular store policies once the edict is lifted. In the meantime, we are offering you 20% off site-wide, all orders of $100 or more to show you some support right now too. In return for our generous discount, we are hoping that your support will keep our small business going during these uncertain times. Be aware that our return policy for sale items is gift card/exchange only. SHIPPING & RETURNS

Free shipping within the USA on orders of $250+ & Just $18 for anywhere else in the world, retail customers only. We proudly use only recyclable or compostable packaging to ship all retail orders, with the exception of added packing tape in some cases. We urge our customers to reuse packaging when possible. Thank you! Adding Priority Mail at checkout will not ensure your order ships the same day, but it will put your order ahead of others. Some items are dyed to order and this takes time. Most orders ship within 2 business days. Preorder items ship as product description reads.

RETURNS 

Something didn't quite work? That's OK! Just send us a quick email and we'll give you the return address. Please read the following guidelines before making your return: We are happy to refund your purchase within 14 days, *exchange (*see details below) or store credit in the form of a gift card after 14 days & before 30 days from delivery date to customer. No refunds on sale or discount code items, exchange/gift card. All sales final on clearance items. Returns must be unworn, in their original packaging, with tags. If your return is worn, we cannot offer a refund or exchange. All returns/exchanges must be made within 5 days of authorization. If we receive a return and it does not meet these requirements, we can not issue a refund or exchange, but we are able to ship it back to you at your expense, within 30 days. Shipping charges must be paid in full before we return your returned item(s) that did not meet the return requirements. We charge $5.00 in addition to what the USPS calculates. If you send your return without tracking, we cannot guarantee your refund or store credit in the form of a gift card. To initiate a return or exchange, simply send us a quick email with your request and your order number. Return shipping charges will apply on all international orders. EXCHANGES

Please email us for exchange authorization. We cannot hold items, so we ask all customers to place a new order for the desired "exchange" and we will refund you for your original purchase when we receive it. If the original order was placed with a discount, we will refund the discount amount from the new order as long as the item qualifies for the original discount terms. If there is leftover credit, you will receive a gift card in an email. Thank you!
